WHICH PRODUCT IS BEST FOR HOOVES?
Every product provides your horse with bioavailable protein and Omega 3’s to support healthy hoof growth. We suggest our Carrot Chia formulation because Vitamin A supports metabolization of keratin, the main protein constituent of strong hoof horn.
IS ONE FORMULA BETTER FOR MY IR HORSE THAN ANOTHER?
There is significant data to support the claim that Prickly Pear cactus promotes proper glucose and lipid regulation, which is why we created and offer that product for horses that need support for metabolic processes.
I TRIED FEEDING SPIRULINA TO MY HORSE BEFORE AND HE WOULDN’T EAT IT. WHAT MAKES THIS DIFFERENT?
We recognize that straight spirulina is unpalatable to some horses. We purposefully combine chia with +16UMF Manuka honey to create a sweet and synergistic combination that allows us to use a lower dose of spirulina for amplified results.
IS IT ALRIGHT TO CONTINUE TO FEED MY OTHER SUPPLEMENTS TO MY HORSE IF I GIVE HIM THIS? HE GETS A HOOF SUPPLEMENT, A GUT SUPPLEMENT AND A JOINT SUPPLEMENT.
Yes. You may want to look at the nutrition labels on your other supplements and compare them to our page on chia basics. We have many clients who replace their current hoof and gastric support supplements with one of our formulations. They get great results and it saves them money.
CAN I LEAVE THESE OUT IN MY BARN?
Yes you can. However, we recommend the loose version of these products for regions of the country with high heat and humidity. When dried down the loose version is extremely stable and has a long shelf life as long as it is kept dry. We dry the biscuit to less than 6% moisture and include a natural preservative in the formulation but we still recommend climate controlled storage during cycles of high heat and humidity to retain shelf life. If you DO have a problem with any of our products we will gladly replace it or issue you a refund.
CAN I JUST FEED CHIA AND GET THE SAME RESULTS?
I’m not sure what kind of results you are looking for but chia seeds are a high value addition to any equine feed program and will improve the overall health of your horse however you will not see the same functional changes in your horse as you will feeding our supplements.

I purchased the boosted spirulina for my BIG Oldenburg stud. He had a sarcoid near his eye and I was hesitant to use any topicals and anything caustic. Within one month of using this product (nothing else changing) his sarcoid had gone completely flat. Within 1-2 more months it looks like it was never there. I have been using this product for about a year now and I'm never taking my boy off it!

This boosted chia has been a game changer for one of my ponies that has been miserable for many summers. Rather than keep him on Zyrtec to deal with hives and itching from summer heat and bugs that made him uncomfortable, spooky and rude to handle, the boosted chis has made him comfortable, calm and content. My Morgan every Doring would get big bites , hives and fly eggs that would lay eggs and cause fires in his legs and even in the frog . This was horrible to go through . Ordering and delivery were easy and went well. My horse is eating it and enjoying it. This product was recommended to me by my vet as my horse has a bad and persistent summer sore. Still pretty early to see if this helps him at all (older/retired/high insulin levels horse).

Living in Fl, we had plenty of skin issues. Since adding chia to my chestnuts’ diet, his coat is shiny and healthy and he doesn’t break out in hives any more!

My gelding has had over 10 sarcoids removed. He's been on this product for a 4-6 months now. Hecurrently has one sarcoid that is growing, however, he has not started any new ones. I'm not sure how much this product is helping, but I'm sure that it is in some way.

Believe it is keeping the canker manageable. It went away when first started using it over a year ago. Came back a few months ago, but much less severe, and easier to treat.

This is an incredible product! I gave it a trial based on a recommendation from my vet to tackle a sarcoid that my horse has. It began the size of a quarter and is almost entirely gone! It’s smooth to the touch and the hair has almost completely grown back in. I started him on the Boosted Spirulina in January and it’s now April. The other noticeable change in a related timeline is that any signs of fecal water syndrome have gone away completely. My only regret is not taking a “before” picture.

The amazing part about this product is it works from the inside out, however, that means for some horses the gross sarcoid on the outside is the last thing to completely resolve. I accidentally wrote my review in the unboosted immune support! I used the boosted and with in 3 months my hoses sarcroid came off after two vets told me it would have to be removed by chemo injection or freezing it off. Both options were painful to the horse and probably wouldn't want his ear touch again!

My poor guy was suffering horrendously this year with the extreme heat & humidity here in VA. His allergies were working overtime and his eyes watered so much that it would become encrusted every single day on his face and I would have to hot compress his face to soften the crusts and then moisturize his face to help soothe the soreness. He also developed hives at different intervals that were itchy and created small bald spots on his shoulder and neck. I came across the boosted Spirulina that was advertised on Facebook by Elisa Wallace and gave it a shot. Within one bag at the loading dose, it has completely stopped his allergies and watery eyes and his skin is now healing. He will definitely continue to live on the Spirulina. My sensitive OTTB has/had a stable sarcoid that hadn’t changed shape or size.I decided to try the more holistic route in treating it before entertaining any surgery or caustic meds. Within weeks of starting with a double dose of the boosted chia, the sarcoid bumps had flattened and has become less tender overall.Now Starting month 2, (with a 2 week break in giving supplement, b/c finances, ugh)So far this product has exceeded my expectations.

I will always feed these supplements and this one is a great one to use if you are having a bout of allergies. If you are planning on a long haul with your horse this is great to give to just make sure that your horses immune system can stay on top of everything that is coming at it. My QH Teds has seasonal allergies that make him wheeze. When I put him on boosted spirulina chia, he stops wheezing; take him off, he starts; put him back on, he stops. That’s sufficient evidence for me!
