HEALTH BENEFITS

Reduces or eliminates the need for medical interventions for a variety of symptoms due to seasonal allergies and beyond.
EXTREMELY EFFECTIVE and palatable to most horses.

  • Immunostimulating and modulating effects to support a healthy and robust immune response
  • Anti-inflammatory properties support increased healing and muscle recovery
  • Gastric support through the microbial-modulating activities aiding beneficial intestinal bacteria
  • Antioxidant properties to support DNA repair
  • Plus Hypolipidemic, Hypoglycemic, and Antitumor Functions

Spirulina is best known for its ability to modulate the immune system by promoting an anti-histamine response to a variety of environmental irritants.

Not only does Spirulina have incredible immune modulating properties it also supports gastric health through supporting the beneficial bacteria and new research suggests Spirulina has the potential to ameliorate gastric ulcers.

Moreover, Spirulina shows promising antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties supporting general equine health as well as increased muscle recovery.

Manuka Honey also supports proper immune responses but is best known for its antimicrobial and antibacterial properties.  Methylglyoxal (MGO), the major antibacterial component of manuka honey, has also been identified as efficacious in protecting the mucosal lining of the intestinal wall.

*We use +16 UMF New Zealand Manuka Honey to ensure a beneficial level of MGO for both immune and gastrointestinal support.

TESTIMONIAL

"This horse arrived at my training facility with a serious case of scratches on three legs: from the heel bulbs to the bottom of the pastern joint and all the way around the coronet bands.  I treated him with traditional Scratches remedies and saw minor improvement, but I knew I needed to do more. Within three days of beginning to feed Pure Form Equine’s Spirulina Chia product the skin at the edge of the scratches turned a healthy pink. A week later I was able to soften the scabs with Vaseline and gently wash the area. The scabs shed easily and caused minimal discomfort to the horse.  I fed the Spirulina Chia for 8 weeks starting in late March. By June the scratches were totally clear."
