WHY SAINFOIN
Sainfoin, otherwise known as “holy hay”, “heavenly hay”, or “healthy hay”, is a plant long recognized for its extraordinary palatability and superior health benefits. This nutrient-dense forage was popular prior to the industrialization of agriculture, but was all but abandoned with the invention of tractors and the promise of fertilizers and chemicals that made large-scale farming possible.
Our products are made from high-quality, sustainably grown sainfoin hay and are easy to measure and feed. StableFeed’s Sainfoin hay has a higher tannin level that supports active and growing horses and is low in starch/sugar, making it an excellent option for those who are metabolic-sensitive.
